ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACMES 27 Inch QHD Fast IPS Gaming Monitor – 255Hz (OC), 0.3ms (Min.), USB-C

ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACMES QHD Gaming Monitor

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACMES brings a 27-inch QHD Fast IPS panel and a high refresh rate to a desktop used for gaming, entertainment and daily work. Its native 2560 × 1440 resolution provides a detailed image in a familiar 16:9 format. With adjustable ergonomics, USB-C video connectivity and several gaming tools, the monitor gives you useful ways to tailor one screen to different activities.

QHD Fast IPS for Games and Everyday Applications

The Fast IPS panel combines QHD resolution with wide 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles. This helps when sharing the display with someone beside you or viewing it from a slightly different seating position. An anti-glare finish helps manage reflections in your workspace. Use the native resolution for everyday applications and arrange windows to suit your workflow, whether you are checking reference material, browsing or working on a document.

XG27ACMES with Up to 255Hz Overclocked Refresh

The XG27ACMES supports a maximum 255Hz refresh rate through overclocking. ASUS publishes two response-time figures: 1ms grey-to-grey and a minimum 0.3ms rating. These specifications make the monitor an option for fast-moving games, including shooters, racing and competitive strategy titles. To make use of the available refresh rate, your computer, video connection and selected display settings must support the intended mode. Actual game frame rates also depend on graphics settings and system performance.

ELMB Sync and Adaptive Refresh

ASUS ELMB Sync technology combines motion-blur reduction with variable refresh rate on supported monitors. On the XG27ACMES, ELMB Sync works alongside its Adaptive-Sync capabilities to help improve clarity during movement. NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible support and AMD FreeSync Premium provide additional options with compatible graphics hardware. ASUS’s general ELMB guidance notes that ELMB Sync reduces screen brightness and cannot operate simultaneously with HDR. Select the picture and motion settings that suit the content you are viewing.

DisplayHDR 400 and Wide-Gamut Colour

HDR10 support and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification allow use with compatible HDR content. ASUS lists 97% DCI-P3 colour coverage and support for 10-bit colour, giving the display versatility for games, video and visual work. The monitor also provides colour-temperature, gamma and six-axis colour adjustments. These controls help you personalise the picture for different tasks. Choose a suitable display mode when moving between colourful entertainment and routine desktop applications.

Gaming AI and In-Game Tools

ASUS lists AI Visual, Dynamic Crosshair and Dynamic Shadow Boost among the monitor’s gaming features. Dynamic Crosshair adjusts the onscreen aiming reticle for visibility, while Dynamic Shadow Boost helps reveal darker areas of a scene. GamePlus and GameVisual provide further tools and picture options. Configure these features around your preferred game and viewing style, using the settings that help you follow the action most comfortably.

USB-C, DisplayPort and HDMI Connectivity

The monitor includes one DisplayPort 1.4 input, one HDMI 2.1 input and one USB-C port supporting DisplayPort Alt Mode. USB-C Power Delivery is rated at 15W. These connections allow you to plan a setup around compatible computers and other video sources. Check each device’s video-output capabilities and power requirements when choosing a connection. A headphone output is provided for audio, and the monitor has no built-in speakers.

Convenient Settings with DisplayWidget Center

ASUS DisplayWidget Center lets you adjust supported monitor settings through a software interface. Manage picture preferences with a mouse and tailor available profiles for different games or applications. This is useful when your screen serves office tasks during the day and entertainment later. Available settings depend on the monitor and software version, so use the supported controls to establish a picture that suits your regular activities.

Adjustable Stand and Viewing Comfort

Height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustments help you position the display around your desk and seating arrangement. VESA 100 × 100mm mounting supports compatible arms or brackets. Low Blue Light and Flicker-free features add viewing-comfort options. Adjust screen brightness, room lighting and viewing distance to your preference before starting a longer work or gaming session.
